Family Background:
Brother Mansoor is a tailor and makes around 10,000 - 12,000/- INR per month. They are a family of four. Recently, Akib was diagnosed with kidney failure after prolonged pain.The family is bringing him home tomorrow, but he has to be admitted for his kidney transplant on 19th January, the surgery is scheduled for 25th January.

Brother Salim Shaikh, has had a genetic blood disorder, Thalassemia Major, which prevents the body from making enough hemoglobin, which leads to sever anemia. The treatment involves various injections, medicines and some blood transfusions done regularly. The cost of the treatment is up to 75,000/- INR. per three months. He was recently diagnosed by Dr. Vijay Ramanan, of Yashoda Hematological Clinic, Pune.
The family has exhausted all savings, for the diagnosis and various treatments from the past 17 years.

Family Background:
Brothers Salman and Saddam are the two earning members of the family, they both earn around 40,000/- INR per month, by working at as a cushion maker and welder respectively. They have absolutely exhausted all resources, and are living on a survival basis, because of the treatments costs.
