Master Arshan Shaikh, age 4 is met with an unfortunate accident and currently under the supervision of Dr.Jaysingh Shinde,Surya Sahyadri Hospital.He was admitted after he fell into a pot of boiling water, causing him 30 – 35% Superficial to deep burns. The estimated cost of the hospital charges are on the upward of 2,50,000/- INR. They have arranged almost 1,00,000/- INR from family and friends and other sources available.The family is in urgent need of 1,50,000/- INR.

Family Background:

Arshan’s father, Ibrahim Shaikh, works as a two wheeler repairman in a garrage.His income is upto 10,000/- INR pm.He provides to a family of five, and they all live in Yerwada,Pune in a rented place.The pot of water was kept in the kitchen when Arshan, whilst playing, fell into it, causing his injuries.

Case 2:

Brother Wasee Munaf Shaikh, age 26 years old, is currently admitted in, Alliance Munot Hospital, under Dr. Yogesh Asava.He was diagnosed with Lower Respiratory tract infection, further diagnosed as pneumonia and fluid filled lungs. The total expenses were upto 4,20,000/- INR out of which the family has arranged for 2,43,000/- INR. They are in need of 1,77,000/- INR the discharge is pending due to non clearance of the bills.

Brother Javed Ali, 42 years old is in need of Kidney transplant, as he is suffering from Chronic Renal failure.Brother Javed has been on dialysis for the past 2 years, twice a week. They have spent 25,000/- to 30,000/- per month for dialysis and medicines.The total cost required for the transplant is 7,00,000/-INR out of which they have arranged upto 2,50,000/-INR. They are in need of 4,50,000/- INR.

Family Background:

Brother Javed lives with his five other siblings, out of which two brothers are vegetable vendors and one brother is a driver. Jointly they earn 30,000/- pm, from which they support their families. Ever since Javed’s kidney failure they are struggling to make ends meet with the increased medical expenses.

Case 4:

Shaikh family, Mother Zarina (40 years), Son Ayaan(11), Daughter Sabrin(15), are all of them in critical condition after meeting with an accident. The mother is admitted in ICU, Lokmanya Hospital, Pune, under the care of Dr. Ashfaq Bangi. And the two children are admitted in Jeevan Rekha Hospital, Dehu Road. The Son is in critical condition and unresponsive.

All of them have sustained multiple injuries. Sister Zarina is on constant O2 support after undergoing surgeries for her fractured legs. Sabrin had to undergo multiple surgeries for his broken jaw, and might have to go through more for her fractured hand. The total cost at both hospitals is 3,23,000/-INR (Zarina), 5,42,000/- INR( Ayaan and Sabrin). The father has arranged for 2,00,000/- so far.

Family Background:

The family head, Brother Yasin Shaikh, is a cycle repairman, he makes around 7-8,000/- pm. The whole family, except brother Yasin, along with Sister Nargis Shaikh, was attending a function in Phaltan. They were travelling in the car of a neighbor. On the way back they met with an accident, where all the members of the other family passed away, as well as Sister Zarina’s Youngest Daughter. Sister Zarina hasn’t been informed of her daughter’s death. The family was able to arrange money for discharge of kids and shifting to a different hospital.

Sister Nargis Shaikh, age 16, is Sister’s Zarina’s (Case 4) niece. She was also part of the misfortunes of the accident. She has a fractured left femur and both tibias. Her family is in need of 3,37,000/-  INR for the surgery of both legs.

The family recently spent their savings on brother Hafiz’s surgery. They are in need for the money for Nargis.
