Case 1:

Brother Amaan Momin age 17 yrs has both kidney damaged, only one is functional at 20%. Diagnosed at the age of 2 yrs, had three operation to remove the urine infection, the recent being in 2014. He is having frequent and severe urine infection and needs urgent kidney transplantation. Due to prolonged infection the adverse effects has impacted his physique resulting in lower growth rate and curving of both legs. His grandmother being a legal donor with matching blood group is willing to donate. The transplantation including pre-surgery treatment, Donor work up and follow-up treatment is estimated to costs Rs. 7,00,000/- of which no funds are at hand. Till date the family had spent lacs of rupees in past 15 years from their household and tailoring works. The family never had the capacity to go for full treatment and suffered for 15 years still no arrangements at place and doctors recommended a final 3 months for the transplant to be successful.

Family Background:

Brother Amaan is living in a slum with his mother and 2 younger brother and sister, the mother is tailor and only food earner of the family. The patient's father has passed away years back leaving the daunting task of bringing up the kids and meeting the recurring and unaffordable treatment cost on the only female member of the family. It has been 15 years the boy has survived the disease and the accompanied pain and has frequently been into depression for not being able to be normal or painless throughout his childhood. Since the beginning of the treatment the patient had multiple operations yet not cured but lost all there spending just to find out the infection has started taking toll on his physique in the form of curved bones and lesser physical development in disproportionate to his age. Going by the damage done already Doctors has recommended to conduct the transplantation in 2-3 months time or risk the complete Kidney failure along with permanent disability to the functioning of legs due to disfiguring of Bones. Case 2:

Sister Saniya Amin Shaikh age 11 yrs is diagnosed with Cancer. Doctors has recommended Chemo therapy sessions which will be followed by a surgery for the removal of the tumor. Patient is a small school going kid with no history of any infection. The doctor has prescribed 2 chemo sessions followed by a Surgery which would collectively cost Rs 2,00,000/-. The family can not afford the cost hence treatment never begin till date. As long as the Chemo sessions goes the prescribed Medicines will be Helpful but for surgery the full amount is required.

Its a family of 4 kids with the Patient being the eldest of them all with insufficient means where father being labor and only earning member. The kid is very young and has clear chances of full recovery and a healthy life to live if given required Medical assistance to survive the Cancer.

Sister Saniya shaikh is a very bright and talented student studying in a very remote town along with her younger brother and sister, Her father is a labor in the local Soda factory hardly make ends meet for the 4 kids along with the expenses of their education. Suddenly struct by the unfortunate occurrence to the eldest kid, the underprivileged family has taken aback with the financial and medical challenges came along with it. Sister Mahek Shaikh age 10 yrs has been diagnosed and treated for Anemia for past 6 months and her treatment will continue as her Biopsy report came out Negative dated 14th Feb. She had to had several tests and observatory treatments for exact diagnosis which caused the farmer family 60-80k so far and the actual treatment requires financial Help.

Family Background:

Sister Mahek is the youngest among 3 kid's farmer family. Being educationally backward and lack of medical expertise available in the locality the patient underwent multiple treatments and tests including Bone marrow at various local clinics as the doctors predicted the presence of Cancer until the family moved to Sion Hospital, Mumbai to conduct a full biopsy which ruled out cancer and the Anemia treatment is suggested to be continued. During the process the family has spent all that they had and clearly cannot afford the treatment cost​, Please come forward and help them.

Case 4:

Brother Mohammad Anwar Age 44 has suffered an accident resulting to an impact to the vertebrae which left his nerves compressed from past 2 years. Since then he is unable to work and on medication to relax the compression. Doctors has suggested an Operation in coming month to stop excessive medications which could cause TB in near future. the estimated cost of operation would be Rs 2,00,000/- in total. The family has been managing treatment cost from public funds and applied for some Govt and private organisational schemes but got rejected. Now they are in no position to afford the Operational cost and reached us to assist them.

Given the expertise required for the operation the patient needs to move to Mumbai which further complicates the physical and financial challenges.

Brother Muhammad Anwar is a construction worker living with wife and 3 young Daughters. Brother Asif Hungund age 24 yrs is suffering from Obstructive Hydrocephalus since childhood but diagnosed 2 weeks back. He has underwent 2 treatment in last week itself for Clot and liquid removal alongside the brain membrane and need to conduct a Major operation in coming week. The operation is estimated to costs INR 2,50,000/-. The family had no savings and spent INR 1,70,000/- borrowed on loans @ 3% per month interest rate. Now they reach out for our help to afford the final Operation costs.

The expenditure is moderate and family is already fallen in the Interest trap and has no further arrangements of any magnitude to fulfill the complete cost of the treatment.

Brother Asif Hungund is a bright and only learned member of the family, recently BBA graduated looking ahead for a hopeful future to carry the struggling family into decent life before hitting to an unknown childhood clot in the brain. His father being a mechanic managed to earn livelihood and educate both his son. One of the son discontinued education and joined a mobile shop as a Salesman to support the patient's higher education. After coming to this sudden medical challenge the family had no savings and opted for a Loan from a friendly money Lender at a monthly interest rate of 3% to meet the treatment cost. Case 2:

Brother Wasim Mustak Moholkar aged 30 years is suffering from a very rare condition of Wilson Disease. In this disease Brain, Eyes, Bones, Kidney, Liver, Blood Etc gradually gets weakened leading to death in 2 years if untreated. He is been diagnosed and under treatment from past 4 years. The treatment consists of daily De-coppering Medicines for lifelong. The Capsules (CILAMIN-250), routine tests & consulting costs about INR 10,000/- per month for the rest of his life. Since its an on going treatment, the estimated costs is impossible to measure but no one time big amount is required either. 

The other injectible treatment is available in Australia which the patient is no capacity to plan. The patient lives alone and feeds on people's charity while begging around the streets and manages his treatment from the same with no significance support from family and any NGOs as of today.

The expenditure is huge but no one time payment is required and can be afforded in installments.

Brother Waseem mustak Moholkar was a Talented National Karate athlete winning many national & international titles under his belt. He is been from a very poor background but started to making his mark and heading for a bright future ahead prior to this infliction. Brother Irfan Jalil Pathan age 23 yrs had Kidney failure- CKD with ESRD (Renal failure) diagnosed few months back. He is on Dialysis and needs urgent Renal transplantation. His mother being a legal donor with matching blood group is willing to donate. The transplantation including pre-surgery Dialysis, Donor work up and 1st year follow-up treatment is estimated to costsINR 3,80,000/- of which Rs. 66,000 has been collected from Masjid and other charities. Till date the family had spent up-to INR 2 lacs/- by selling a plot they owned and exhausted all their financial capacity. Now they are stuck with the limited amount and seeks our Help for the remaining sum.

The patient had to have regular Dialysis until Transplanted which is adding significant expenses to the already marginal funds. Desperately waiting for Help to initiate the surgery and begin the Post renal transplant follow ups.

Brother Mohd. Salim Mulla age 61 yrs is diagnosed with 3rd stage Mouth Cancer in November 2016. He has had 1 Chemo session done out of 3 cycle regime which will be followed by a full on surgery for the removal of the tumor. Patient has no history of any harmful addiction. The doctor has prescribed 3 chemo sessions followed by a Surgery which would collectively cost INR 2,40,000/- (Chemo- 13,000x3=40,000 + Surgery Appr INR 2,00,000/-). The family could only afford 1st chemo cost and generating money from family and friends to conduct 2nd session on scheduled date. As long as the Chemo sessions goes the prescribed Medicines will be Helpful but for surgery the full amount is required.

This is a limited family with limited means with only one sibling to look up to who is not established yet and are in serious need of Medical assistance to survive the Cancer.

Case 1:

A new born Baby is having breathing complication since day 1 ( 1st Dec born) he was on supplementary oxygen and injections for 6 days, now relieved but under treatment for Jaundice. The daily cost is about INR 10,000 + INR 6,000 Medicinal costs which comes about INR 95,000 (INR 16,000/day) in total so far. They have paid INR 25,000 out of 60,000 Hospital bill and about INR 35,000 in Medicine from borrowed money and need our help to settle the remaining Hospital bills ( INR 40,000) and the cost of the further treatment if required.

Alhamdulillah the major part of treatment is been successful with bills still needs to be paid, just Jaundice needs to keep in check whose cost remains unsure.

Case 2 :

Brother Khalique is under treatment since 6 months for urine infection which is now diagnosed as last stage Liver cirrhosis and requires Liver Transplant within 2 months,  He is on supportive medicines till then. The total cost of treatment will be INR 20,00,000/ (INR 20 Lacs) with 80% (INR 16 Lacs) to be deposited in advance to begin the treatment. They have paid Rs 15,000 for Donar registration and Rs 45,000 on patient fitness and other related tests and waiting to be allotted a donar. 

So far they have spent around INR 5 lacs before and after diagnosis and drained out of all savings. They have approached us for financial help for further treatment.

Within 6 months the patient has lost half his body weight and Doctors have said if his health deteriorates further then they have to look out for a living donor from the family. Now the family is in dilemma because there are all daughters and are married with infant kids.

Family Background:

Brother Khalique is a  Rickshaw driver and is the only bread earner of the family. He has no son but manage to educate and marry his 3 daughters. Own a small flat and saved money for Hajj. From the beginning of the treatment he is unable to earn and were expending his Hajj savings in various hospitals which is exhausted by now. One of his Daughter is supporting daily expenses from her marginal salary after consuming the FD and the sold jewelry amount. The doctors has advised a quick treatment exceeding not more than 2 months. They have initiated the Liver donation process and will allot one soon from a deceased body but if his health deteriorates then someone from the Blood relative needs to come forward for donation. Unfortunately the only daughter with matching blood group has 2 kids aged 16 and 4 months respectively.

Brother Shaker Malik is in need of his second Hip Replacement in addition to one replaced earlier.The doctors have advised to go for another replacement to complete the treatment at anytime in coming 6 months or so, accordingly the family is planning to go about it after 3 months.
