Ramadan Ration Drive - 2022
Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rehmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Hope you all are doing well by the grace, mercy and blessings of Allah Subh'an wa ta'ala!
Narrated Abu Musa(raziallahu anhu) Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said, "Free the captives, feed the hungry and pay a visit to the sick." Bukhari.
"And they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin(the poor), the orphan, and the captive,(Saying): "We feed you seeking Allâh's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you." Quran 76.8-9 Surah Al-Insan.
We all know of the Hadith of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam where a person was forgiven by Allah because he quenched the thirst of a dog. Imagine the reward we may expect from Allah for feeding a family for the entire month in the blessed month of Ramadan.
Alhamdulillah, we have been distributing food rations in the month of Ramadan for the past Eleven years in villages of Maharashtra and some from Karnataka.
Help is provided to poor and needy families (mostly widows and orphans), so they can have proper meals at least during the month of Ramadan.We had distributed the ration to 678 families last year. The areas covered last year were Solapur District/Villages,Sangli-Miraj
This year we have a list of 400+ families at present, and still counting. These families mostly consist of widows and children. We survey different places to find such families who are in genuine need of help. Priority is given to families with genuine need, who don’t have access to amenities such as TV,Fridge etc. They live in rented houses, and their income is enough either to pay for the rents or to have proper meals.
We all have been facing the Epidemic for the past two years and Lot of Daily earners are jobless and have no income since then and completely dependent on the help of others. Requesting you all brothers and sisters to come forward and help the needy in such tough situations.
In sha Allah, distribution will start a couple of days prior to Ramadan, by covering families in immense need.
The Cost of one food ration package is Approx. Rs.2000/- (Variable including Packing,Labour and Transportation).
It is a humble request to everyone to contribute with your Zakat/Sadaqa for this noble cause.

3. Sugar - 2Kg.
4. Oil - 2Ltr.
5. Toor Dal - 1Kg.
6. Chana Dal - 500Gm.
7. Masoor Dal - 1Kg.
8. Moong Dal - 500Gm.
9. Khopra - 500Gm.
10. Poha - 1Kg.
11. Shengdana - 500Gm.
12. Dates - 2Kg.
13. Salt - 1Kg.
14. Rava - 1Kg.
15. Goodh - 1Kg.
16. Chai Patti-250 Gm
17. Soap - 4 pieces.

At the end of Ramadan, In Sha Allah, a detailed report would be sent to everyone.
